For the past three years, Hope Children Ambassadors Training Institute (HCATI) has been equipping Sunday school teachers, children's ministers, and other caregivers to better understand and respond to the needs of children with ADHD, Autism, Learning Disabilities, and Intellectual Disabilities.
Our training goes beyond awareness. We help children's workers to identify, appreciate, support, and advocate for children with developmental and learning differences, while encouraging them to work closely with parents and caregivers and make appropriate referrals for professional help when needed.
Through our trainings within Kenya and across other African countries, we have witnessed encouraging results. Some of the teachers we have trained are now actively identifying children who may need additional support, partnering with their parents, advocating for inclusion, and helping churches create more welcoming environments where every child can learn, participate, and grow.
At HCATI, we believe that every child matters, every child belongs, and every child deserves an opportunity to flourish. We are committed to strengthening children's ministries so that churches and communities become places where children with different abilities are understood, valued, supported, and given hope.
